We recently asked our Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/Eynshamhall/) followers to answer that ever important British question. When it comes to afternoon tea, should a scoop of cream or a dollop of jam touch the scone first?
According to research done by food scientist Dr Stuart Farrimond, and appearing in an article for The Telegraph, putting cream on first has a 57% preference and is considered as far more practical. While our followers didn’t all agree, why not come down for yourself and try both alternatives?
One of our most popular choices, classic afternoon tea at Eynsham Hall has its very own twist. Served in either the grandeur of the Main Hall or, if not too chilly, on the southwest facing Champagne terrace, you can expect eclectic treats including smoked salmon, chocolate coconut and lemon cream cheese fingers alongside the traditional cream and jam. Add a glass of our finest champagne to your offering for a real treat, or finish off by sipping on one of our array of expertly crafted coffees in front of a roaring fire.
For October only, we are offering a 30% discount on our afternoon tea treats. Classic Afternoon Tea will be available from £15.75pp (usually £22.50pp), while Champagne Afternoon Tea will be available from £20.65pp (usually £29.50pp). Places are limited, book now!
