We have been working with North Leigh CE Primary School to promote healthy eating and to encourage children to be more active during the summer holidays.
Helping with the school curriculum, our Leisure Manager, Chris Parsons and his assistant Stevie, hosted an activity event for a Year 6 class. The children participated in circuit training and a mini bootcamp to inspire fun ways to keep active.
The children even got to get involved with cooking healthy meals. After demonstrations from our Head Chef, Simon Bradley, Mrs Cleal's Year 5 class got stuck in making a delicious array of dishes. The menu consisted of heirloom tomato, cucumber, smoked ham and basil salad, various quiches, cherry and almond tartlets, summer berry Eton Mess and cheese scones - and the kids had so much fun cooking and tasting everything.
North Leigh CE Primary School is committed to providing opportunities to take part in a variety of sporting activities, both in and out of school. We are pleased to be working with the school to help get kids active and involved with learning about healthy lifestyles.
